trails: carter-moriah trail, nineteen mile brook trail, wildcat ridge trail, ski trails

conditions: lots of residual wetness in the woods after recent rain. ledges headed up moriah from gorham were wet and slick in spots. some mud and slippery bog bridging as well. the more exposed ledges along the ridge line were generally dry. heading to and up north carter the bog bridges and ledges were wet and slick. some mud and more damp going over middle and south carter and up to carter dome. same down to the notch. pretty wet and muddy up on the wildcats as well. upper ski trails were sloppy, but nice down low.

equipment: nothing in particular.

comments: after a pretty long hiatus from hiking any 4k peaks it was nice to get out for this traverse. couldn't have asked for a better day with great views and relatively cool temperatures. first time i have done this traverse without getting hit with rain and thunderstorms at some point during the day. thanks to cynthia for a great hike.
