I was recently reading in a NH 4K book on Mt. Isolation. It said it was known as Mount Alban, alban means white in Latin. I thought it was a French name. Another neat fun fact on this word is that Scotland was known as Albania or Alba. I thought of the country in the Balkans at first but I was wrong.
