Trail Conditions: Got to the trail head to find someone had already started up. Caught up with them within the first quarter-mile. Nice guy who did not know where the trail was, so I took lead and broke trail all the way to the top. Snow was about 10 inches deep at the bottom, up to about 18" or more at the top. Light and fluffy stuff without much purchase.
Snowshoes essential for the entire trip - no other traction needed. Ledges were easily snowshoed up. Beautiful view at the top!
Trail should be nicely broken for weekend traffic now. At one point on the upper ledges I took a short "scenic route" which deviated a little bit from the standard summer route. It's actually a bit better than the regular route since it climbs to some more nice viewpoints.
