Trails: Webster Jackson trail, Jackson Branch only.
Conditions: trail was ice covered in a thin layer of snow. Warm temps helped with some traction but ice was the predominant form of water today.
Special equipment: I wore crampons from a few tenths in at the start and for the rest of the day and was happy to have them. Light traction would have been a stretch for me but others I saw using them successfully. I prefer more traction on this kind of ice.
Notes: great day with sun and clear skies early turning over to more cloudiness. I didn't start until after noon and although I saw 10-15 people coming out, I had the descent and summit to myself. I was so happy I did a headstand on the summit much to the joy of the Canada Jay audience I had. Another great day in the mountains.
