Mount Jackson

Hiked up Jackson with a buddy yesterday on the Webster Jackson trail. Georgeous day, followed a very nice family of 4 from NJ. Great to see people getting their kids hooked on hiking. They nicely packed the trail down for us, we only had crampons on. It was a bit, well, blustery on the summit, but really really nice. This was my 26th on the 'list', but the first in my new life. I am recoveing from breast cancer, and my husband of 11 years walked out when I started treatments. We were trying to finish up the list, and I never counted any peaks I went to with out him...
So, I think I will start over, seems to be a big theme in my life.
SSOOOO, if anyone out there needs a hiking partner who is not a real speed demon, but will bring good food and good cheer let me know!

Congratulations on finishing up the list, it seems like quite an accomplishment.
I am looking forward to meeting new people, getting a job outside the house, and trying to move on with my life. Getting out and hiking more will be a big part of that for me I think. Hope to meet up with you soon, and thank you very much for your kind words and thoughts. Christine
