Traveled from Thornton Gap to the summit of the main peak. The first half of trail is dry and relatively well shaded. The trail is mostly wet from halfway up the switchbacks to the summit. Some of the ledges are a little slippery. The only puddles of significance are in the flat stretch just before the summit area.

Very little snow, it does not appear until approximately 4000 feet. Only a few spots on the trail that are easy to traverse. The greatest amount of snow is on the short spur to the northern viewpoint.

The only bugs seen or heard were in the section with the puddles near the top. Otherwise it was bug free trip from start to finish (8AM - 11:30AM).
Equipment needed: Waterproof boots helpful.

A glorious day with blue skies and fantastic views.
