march 5th, 2008. conditions to jackson via jackson trail is packed. we used snow shoes, but there were some before us with just boots. definitely need snow shoes towards the top. webster cliff trail was unbroken as was webster branch trail. we lost trail quite a few times on the cliff trail as the snow is so high that it covers most of the blazes. we did make it to the end though, so if you follow our path, hang in there! snow shoes a must.
