I climbed Mt. Adams last summer and encountered some blowdown. I was told that this blowdown was going to be cleaned up later in 2004. Has this been cleaned up or not. I have never had to deal with blowdown with snowshoes before . Is it easier than in summer. Do you climb over the top of it or simply go around?

I guess it depends on the height, and the wetness of the snow:

if its lower than 3 ft, over

if its higher than 3 ft, and there is no snow, go over

if its higher than 3 ft, and there is fluffy snow, wipe it off, and go over.

if it is higher than 3 ft, and there is wet snow, find a way around

if its higher than 4 ft go under!
