I went up Mt Adams via the Airline Trail. The trail started out fairly dry, considering it was raining a little, and stayed that way for the first 2 miles, I would estimate. The trail then turned into a bit of a stream. There was water flowing down parts of the trail at a pretty good clip. Above that, the trail was covered in ice, which as of yesterday, was also the steepest part of the trail. There was snow above the ice. It wasn't there in all spots, but a good portion of the trail had snow on it up high but below treeline. Once above treeline there wasn't much snow on the trail.
Coming down Valley Way was pretty different. Just below treeline valley way still had over a foot of hard-packed snow as a trail for the first mile or so. It became pretty mixed for a while after that and was pretty wet in some spots. Once lower though, like Airline, it was pretty dry.
Watch out for a whole lot of moose scat on the lower elevations though!!
I would say stabilicers are all you would need for the trail. I don't own a pair of those, so I just used a pair of older aluminum crampons and it worked out fine.
