Trail Conditions: Well-traveled hard-pack up Airline trail.
No clear packed trail to the summit of Adams, but the snow was firm everywhere so I just walked right up. I only post-holed a couple times when coming back down.
Good snowpack above treeline; any exposed rocks are well-covered in rime ice. Only one downed tree that I remember, and a few more that were leaning over the trail due to the weight of the snow/ice on them.
Equipment - I used snowshoes for the below-treeline hard pack and appreciated them for the heel-riser, but microspikes would have worked as well. I switched to crampons above treeline to dump the weight of the snowshoes but again, microspikes alone would have done well for the entire route.
Comments: Caught beautiful weather and a great sunrise above treeline. Wished I had skis and skins to use on Airline and for a little touring around Adams/Jefferson, but will save that for later this Winter.
