Trails: Bunnell Notch Trail, Mt. Cabot Trail

Snowshoes from the get go and left them on for the whole hike. Very little bare ground. Still plenty of snow on the logging road walk and all the way to the summit.

Larger stream crossing on the logging road was running high and much higher on the return. Cross on two logs about 20 yds. upstream. The notch was a wet mess with many rivulets coming off the hillside and all the bridges are caving in when crossing. Snow was very soft and postholing with snow shoes was common.

The Mt. Cabot trail was in much better shape. Pretty firm with some soft surface snow all the way to the cabin. From the cabin to the summit was a whack but the snow was fairly firm and consolidated, so no problems. Except for our tracks there is no trail to speak of.

Cleared one messy blow-down. None other to cause any problems.

Met up with Lee ("Red Shorts" vftt) and Siabhan on the trail and finished the day hiking with them. Great folks.
