How- Lonesome Lake trail to Hi Cannon. Back down Dodge Cutoff to LLT
Trail was well packed on Lonesome Lake Trail, Hi Cannon above the Dodge Cutoff packed trail stopped and was crusty snow, about 5 inches or so. Looked like nobody had been here for a while.
Equipment- used showshoes above the Dodge cutoff, otherwise barebooting fine. Tried Microspikes down Lonesone Lake trail from Lake, really not needed.
Notes- The ladder was totally socked in under snow which was a little unconsolidated and STEEP. I preferred not to go on as the route down would be fast and painful. We worked hard through branches at eye level. Beautiful day out, great views to of Franconia Ridge.
