Trail conditions: On the way up the trail was mostly dry with a few isolated icy sections and some frozen crunchy mud sections that reverted nack to mud on the way down. Only two easy step over blow downs. A lot of recent trail clearing done just after the bridge near the beaver dams. Zero snow. All of the trails easy to follow.
Special Equipment: Carried microspikes but didn’t put them on, the few ice sections were to short to bother.
Comments: Couldn’t ask for a better day near the end of November (unless you want snow). From the fire tower, no sign of snow on all the peaks except a few isolated spots on Washington near the alpine line. Saw about 10 hikers on the trail today and more on the trailhead after hiking. Met a few friendly interesting people on the trail. Didn’t catch any names. Though from an earlier post today I think it must have been "Bob" that I talked to who had just come down with the Vose spur group.
