Date of Hike: Fri. 12-04-09
Trails: Signal Ridge Tr.
Conditions: Dry with muddy sections down low. Snow and ice started half way up the sloping traverse. Mostly snow and ice the rest of the way with a few bare areas.
The water crossings were high. I taped my pants and boots together under my waterproof gaiters with duct tape and just walked across. It kept my feet dry and worked great.
Removed two head banging blow-downs. Trail is mostly blow-down free.
Equipment: Some light traction recommended. I wore my micro-spikes and they worked well. Snowshoes not needed. Poles for the water crossings.
I had the mountain to myself today with sunny skies and warm temps. Little wind at the top.
