Trail Conditions: some muddy sections below the Signal Ridge Trail, Carrigain Notch Trail fork. Lower stream crossings not difficult. Trail mostly dry until 3900' which is more or less the snow line. 1' to 2' of soft but packed down snow above this elevation with occasional clear sections. No postholing if you stay in the center.
Special Equipment Required: Snow shoes or traction not necessary. Waterproof boots and gaiters useful to keep your feet dry.
Comments: Beautiful day in the mountains! Candace and Becker loved the hiked but neither were interested in climbing the fire tower.
