Trail excellent on the way up. Very wet on way down!
Special Equipment: bug spray..lots of mosquitoes. Rain wear for the way down.
Comments: Started out with overcast but pleasant. Views from the Ridge limited due to low cloud cover and haze. Able to appreciate the 360 degree views from the fire tower but everything was obscured with the haze and low clouds especially to the east. We were about halfway down when a thunderstorm hit overhead. We were bombarded by grape size hailstones and very heavy rain. Sloshed through several inches of water and muck most of the rest of the way down while marvelling at the snow effect of the hail in the undergrowth.
Great hike though with Henry, the marathon man, who completed #46 today.
