Mt. Chocorua via Piper Trail

Trail Conditions: Dry, Icy, Snow
Special Equipment Required: Traction devices required, face protection required
Comments: Snow starting after Nickerson Trail junction, no more than an inch other than occasional drifts. Icy starting just above shelter trail junction, up to Champney Falls Trail junction. No traction needed above treeline, though winds were extreme - I literally was blown off a ledge at one point! Almost a dozen blow downs on Piper Trail, all can be walked under/stepped without difficulty...a few widow makers to watch carefully after next snow/ice event.
