Great conditions on Chocurua on 2/11/12. We hiked up Brook and down Liberty. Both trails are packed down enough so no snow shoes are needed. Microspikes are highly advised. An ice axe was useful in a few spots, but poles should suffice for most. There is a winter route so you don't have to scramble across the bald granite face below the summit. A great winter hike.
