Trail Conditions:
Lake road was hard packed snow as was the entire trail.
Special Equipment required:
Used bare boots most of the way- no postholing. Snowshoes helped some of the steep ascents. Crampons were required for the final tricky steep section to the summit of Colvin.
Comments:
Couldn't ask for a better day. On the trail at 6AM with headlamps, total trip was 10.5 hours from the car. Beautiful views of the range and nippletop from the summit of Colvin.
