Trail Conditions: Packed snowshoe track up to open ledges. Several snow shoe tracks get confusing on section after first open ledge to summit. If in doubt bear right.
Special Equipment Required: microspikes helpful down low, had to switch to snowshoes about half way up due to significant postholing even in snowshoe track.
Comments: Somewhere around the 20th year of getting out for a hike on New Years Eve or New Years day. The parking lot is one big sheet of ice and the road to the old trailhead is also very icy, those with traction challenged vehicles may want to stay in the main lot.
