Mt. Crosby Trail
Easy-Moderate
Last Maintained 10-18-08
Great Views from the top, not a high traffic area, hardly ever see anyone out there but the kids from the summer camp who maintains it.
Road not maintained for winter travel, it becomes a snow mobile trail, but would be a wonderful snowshoe otherwise.

Here is a link to check out a terrain map.

Directions to Trail head:
From the town of Hebron (03241) head west on Groton Road. Not for out of town make a right onto Brailey Road. Follow the road for almost a mile, you will have to bear left where there is a yellow arrow on a telephone pole. It is right after a grey house and before a large red barn. If you miss it the road dead ends. Anyways. If you follow the road, there is a "Y" stay left up the hill to the right is a driveway. You can only drive a bit further from here, its best to park at the old abandon cabin, unless you have a truck or SUV in which case you can continue on up until you reach a small meadow. On the far side of the meddow you will see a white sign with a Blue Blaze of a Wolf and the work Mowglis. These are the tail markers. The first half mile is on an old road/snowmobile trail, you will pass through a gate, bear left at the intersection, when the road makes a sharp right and crosses a brook the trail is on the left before the bridge, pretty wide, a few trail markers and a karen mark the way. The tail goes up to a saddle between bald knob and crosby mtn. bald knob has wnderful views of newfound lake over to Mt. Cardigan and Crosby with views through franconia notch and as far north as Mt. Washington.
