Trail Conditions: Trail was well packed all the way up to Field. Some iced up branches across the trail but easy to get through, esp if you are short!
Special Equipment: Snowshoes helpful. The snow was still soft and bareboots would probably result in postholing. Also the traction of the crampons was necessary on some of the steep sections of the trail where the snow was pretty slick. Poles helpful (as always for me).
Comments: A great day to be out. The trail was in great shape and made for a fun hike. We skipped going up to the spur to Avalon but it looked like that was well packed out also.
