Date of Hike: Sat 8/13
Trails: 19MB, Carter Dome, Zeta Pass, Carter Moriah (to Hight, then up to Carter Dome), Carter Dome trail returning to 19MB.
Trail Conditions: Perfect -Dry with minimal mud. Easy water crossings excepting on Carter Dome, 1st water crossing when ascending has some slippy mossy little rocks.
Special Equipment Required: Poles.
Comments: Optional - Final ascent to Mt Hight wasn't as difficult as advertised and what views! Quite the crowd on Mt. Hight including a singing troupe with a ?ukelele? doing folk renditions with lyrics about not paying taxes and enjoying the land, or something. - Met at least 4 parties who were off bagging 4-5 peaks yesterday; impressive, to me anyway as I was challenged enough after a few weeks away. Shout out to Youngblood and companion, and to the thru-hiker bound for GA (hope you make it there before the winter). For us this was #33, only 15 more to go.
Maybe it's me but I hope everyone reading this takes home a piece of the mountain when they leave. Fuel for the daily journey. I'm still in nirvana.
