Trails: Webster-Jackson Trail

The trail was off and on bare ground with patches of snow and frozen rail to about 2500 ft. The rest of the way to the summit cone was packed firm and frozen this morning, some softening later.

Hillsound spikes from about 2500 ft. to the summit and back. Snowshoes stayed on my pack for ballast. No ice to speak of. Summit steeps were filled in with firm crusty snow. Summit was bare ground.

The actual trail is now open all the way. I did a little brushing and cleared some blowdowns. The trail is now in pretty good shape.

It was nice meeting up with John and the Mighty Tough Little Dog (of "Pepper and Me" fame) today. Several others on the trail today. Nice and sunny with a breeze at the top today.
