Date of Hike: Wed. 12-02-09
Trails: Webster Jackson Trail
Bill Marcotte and I decided on an easy hike today after yesterday's Bonds. Packed snow all the way to the summit. Snowshoes not needed today but light traction is recommended. We wore our micro spikes from the get go.
The hike was the easy part today. On the way back Bill and I cleared every blow-down and hang-over on the trail. We left only several larger ones that are close to the ground which will be buried with the next snow storm. We cleared one massive blow-down which was a real chore. Jeremy would've been proud of us.
Beautiful day today. We saw some tracks ahead of us going up over Jackson and towards Pierce and met one fellow getting a late start.
