Trails: Caps Ridge Trail
Caps Ridge Trail was in great shape today. Lower portion dry and no ice to speak of on the Cap Scrambles. The only ice was some broken ice within about 150 ft. of the summit and easy to avoid. Otherwise, all the rocks and scrambles were bone dry.
No traction was needed today. It was a nice warm sunny day with only a slight breeze at the top. Under cast only on the East side of the Prezies'. All the peaks were in the sunshine. Looking over toward Washington, the Gulfside Tr. looked like it had some ice and frost on it going up over Reagan.
I had the trail to myself today and didn't see anyone on the ridges. Great November we've had so far.
Someone's shell hood is hanging on the Link Trail sign and someone's thong is hanging off some limbs down by the bog bridges.
