Beaver Brook spectacular with anchor ice on cascades, 2" fresh duff with a little ice under it, stabilicers or microspikes and poles essential. More snow at 4000' but still not enough for snowshoes. Some blowdowns above shelter and on Asquam Ridge trail, also wet spots but easy to negotiate.
Road out from Ravine Lodge (closed to cars now) snow covered but not enough for snowshoes or skis yet. Some ice under snow so traction helpful here.
Some great views, especially when the sun broke through in the afternoon, and a good introduction to full winter conditions (about 19 degrees at both start and finish, cooler and windy at top)
