Liberty Spring Trail to Franconia Ridge trail and back.
Snowshoes....although we passed many people in crampons. Some barebooters, but they were slipping and sliding a bit, especially on the steep sections. Trail was broken out all the way with a couple inches of snow down low, to 4-8 inches up high. On the way up Franconia ridge north was not broken...on the way back down it was....not sure how far.
What a beautiful day up high. There was NO wind on either summit. A perfect day to complete my NH winter 4's! Fine views in all directions, although a cloud layer was visible all around. Mt Washington peaked above the clouds as we left Flume. Lots of people out enjoying this fine winter day.
Thanks to Jeff, John,Carl, Kathy,Dave and Elaine and all those who've hiked with me along the way. And also to Rock____ and madhatter who took our pix on top of Liberty.
