Trail Conditions: Valley Way below Watson Path is in great shape, dry, hardly any mud. Watson Path to Duck Falls in good shape save for junction with Brookside where there is a large are of mud that is easily navigable. Above Duck Falls to treeline is a little wetter but no trouble on the rocks and roots at all. Above treeline dry to summit as down Osgood to hut. Descending Valley Way was a little wet above Watson path junciton- slipped a couple of times but really no issue.

Special Equipment Required: Above treeline hat and gloves. Used poles as always and helped me.

Comments: Optional - Usual socked in summit although seemed to be clear everywhere else. Summits also seemed to clear later in the day after I was heading down. Strong wind above treeline with cool temps. Lots of people going to Madison from the hut. Pix of trip here
