The first few miles to Johns Brook Lodge were mostly dry with a few easy brook crossings and a few wet/muddy patches that were mostly avoidable. The trail (Phelps) from the Lodge to the boulder/lean-to site was muddy and wet in sections with a few blow downs but overall not too bad. Above the last lean-to the trail became very wet with some mud and quite a bit of hard packed and/or rapidly melting snow, increasing with elevation. There was some ice but it was mostly avoidable. Microspikes were helpful for a short stretch but not completely necessary. The flat stretch before the summit was underwater (~6"), most of which was avoidable. The summit cone was mostly bare and dry with a few patches of snow and a few wet areas.
