Super icy road (plowed only one car width) leading to the trail head. Many cars (and trucks) couldn't make it up the hill to the parking lot, most needed several attempts.
Bare booted with no problem up to tree line. Once you break out of the trees it's all ice, so crampons are a necessity. Didn't have crampons, so we just headed back.
A beautiful day out on Monadnock. Wouldn't go near this place in the summer, but it sure is great in the winter!
