Trails: Ravine Lodge Rd., Gorge Brook Trail
Conditions: 7 of us broke out the trail from the beginning of Ravine Lodge Rd. to the summit, with the help of one lone person on skis, who passed us on our way up. About 6" to 8" of fresh powder over a firm base, with some drifting. The trail in nicely broken out now. More consolidated down low with softer, loose snow up higher. The alpine had a mixture of packed snow, styrofoam, and crusted over snow. A nice sunny day out with the only wind being above tree line. Snowshoes the whole way. Face mask and googles were needed above tree line. Great day out with Bill M., Vinny C., Steve M., Bruce P., and Nancy & Charlie F.
