Trails: Gorge Brook, Carriage Rd., Snapper Trail
Ravine Rd. open. Bare ground to about 3500 ft. with a spattering of rail. Easy to walk beside. At 3900 ft. the snow line starts. The snow was firm this morning and postholing wasn't a problem. I did wear my spikes for some traction, although it can be barebooted. At about 4400 ft., after the ridge starts to open up, the snow is mostly gone. It fills in again in the flat scrub section below the summit cone. About 2 ft deep rail in this section.
The summit was bare ground and dry and most of the way on the Carriage Rd. until the trees along the ridge, where the snow is still deep, but fairly firm, to the jct. with the Glencliff Tr.
The snow lasts until about a 1/4 mile past the jct. on the Carriage Rd. and from there, it is bare ground and clear sailing all the way back down and onto the Snapper Trail.
A few blowdowns on the Snapper but all in all the trails are in excellent shape.
Carried my snow shoes but didn't need them. Not worth the bother to deal with them now. The snow is melting and not that deep.
Nice sunny, warm day with no wind. I didn't see anyone else, but there was a sign-in at the register after I got back.
