Date of Hike: Thur. 02-18-10
Trails: Carter-Moriah Trail.
A dusting of new snow down low to about 2" higher up with some minor drifting. Trail very well packed. A few step over and around blow downs.
I wore my "Hillsound Trail Crampons" the whole way. Carried my snowshoes but didn't use them. Some form of traction helpful on the ledges. No ice to speak of.
Ugly looking day in the mountains, but not that bad. Fair temps and some gusty winds, but protected in the woods, spitting snow. Summit was socked in, no views today.
I didn't see anyone else on my side of the mountain.
