Much of the trail was covered with a dusting of snow within a mile the start of hike.. Bare-booted up to the ledges and then used microspikes above. The last mile was pretty much covered with water ice so the spikes were necessary. A few blow-downs, but easily navigated. No too much mud on the trail. The sun melted the coating of snow by early afternoon to the ledges were in good shape. Very windy on top but great views.
Special equipment: traction required, poles helpful.
