Trail conditions are hard packed, parking lot sheer ice!
Crampons were helpfull but barebooting worked fine.
Snowshoes may become neccessary real soon. If you went
off the trail even a little you were up to your waist.
Branches are laden with ice and you will be crawling under and
pushing through alot!
Stony Brook wasn't bad to cross, but banks on both sides are decaying
and you may break through.
