The trail from bottom to top is packed out like a concrete sidewalk. We did not go over to the Mizpah Hut but the trail both at the split and on top seemed to be well broken out.
The trail over to Eisenhower was not quite as well packed out, but nevertheless got a fair amount of traffic today.
There are numerous blowdowns all along the trail. Most of them have well packed out detours. There is one crawl under and perhaps another if you are to short to step over. It was about waist high (my waist).
It was easy to make good time today as the trail was so smooth.
We met several folks today that we knew including Tom, Atticus and Ruth. It was our privilege to meet her for the first time.
The trees up high are heavily laden with snow and absolutely beautiful. Don't forget your camera.
There was no postholing today due to the hard packed trail, but the many folks who were wearing snowshoes helped to make the trail very smooth.
