Mt. Pierce via Crawford Path (+ Webster Cliff Trail for .1 mile)
Date of Hike: Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007
Trail Conditions: Frozen Granular, Loose Granular, Ice (last .1 mile)
Special Equipment Required: Traction helpful from Crawford Path to top of Pierce
Comments:
Plenty of room in Crawford Path parking lot.
One blowdown on Crawford Connector (step over), one on Crawford Path (path around). Two wet spots down low (step around). Small water crossings easily stepped over.
Trail is very well packed, though there were some postholes after Mitzpah Cutoff (moose!). Patches of ice on the Webster Cliff Trail to the Pierce summit.
