beautiful day in the whites. mt potash off the kanc is only 2700 ft, but what views from this place. trail is just over 2 miles with 1400ft gain. snow is packed hard on the bottom, but snowshoes are needed after 2000 ft. snow depths of over 30 inches. a few limbs down along the way, but no problem. brook is still frozen over. a lot of bang for the buck on this one. first hike of the season. a good warm up.
