Mt. Tecumseh
Date of Hike: Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007
Trail Conditions: Frozen Granular
Special Equipment Required: None required
Comments: Other than the first water crossing (at the trailhead), the others still have snowbridges that should hold up if wearing snowshoes. Wore snowshoes for the ascent (for traction), barebooted the descent on the Mt. Tecumseh Trail to the ski trail outlook with only two total postholes (both when ventured off the side of the trail). Wore snowshoes on ski trails (Boneyard Trail wasn't packed at all, posthole city without snowshoes). Tecumseh Trail and Sosman Trail (last .2 miles, the Tecumseh Trail to the summit wasn't broken out) are very well packed with frozen granular surface.
