Trail Conditions: Down low well packed trail with 4-5 inches of new powder. Starting at the viewpoint area the trail was much icier. None of the crossings had snowbridges but were easy enough to walk across in snowshoes.
Special Equipment Required:
Traction of some sort essential at higher elevations. I used snowshoes for traction. I could have also used stableicers but liked the extra traction of my MSRs. Crampons also would have done the trick higher up as there was no risk of post holes.
Comments: Had the mountain to ourselves today on a beautiful sunny day. I lost a glove and hat. If anyone comes across these, please Email me at the address below.
