A Late morning start up Mt. Tom via avalon,A-Z and Tom Spur. I put snoeshows on at A-Z beginning and kept them on though conditions were hardpacked and Icy but not difficult. Spent a wonderful afternoon bushwacking around summit without sinking. It Almost felt like spring despite gusty winds. Trail was easy to follow and blazes were clearly visible with the exception of the spur trail. Snow never really softened but it was a lovely descent.
