Happy Spring, everybody! 
Nice day in the mountains. Snow a little grabby, as it will be after so much freezing and thawing, but nothing too impossible. Lots of nice people out today. Notably, we met a dad and son (~8 years old?? maybe a little older?) from Maine; son got the hiking bug within the last year or so & declared his intention to hike the NH 48. Good for him. They went to Field today, his #2, while we went to Tom. We also met an abundance of cheerful dogs on the trail. We stayed happy all day.
