Mt. Tom, Zealand Falls Hut via Avalon, A-Z

Trail up to Mt. Tom Spur well packed, used Kahtoolas but probably should have put on the snowshoes-postholed quite a few times. Trail unbroken from spur path to hut, snowshoes required. Hard to follow in the open birch stand, especially around the "bigger" stream crossing about 1/2 mile from the hut. A few minor blowdowns. Next day changed plans (2-5" of new snow overnight) and hiked with a good group of 5 other hikers down the Ethan Pond Trail - partially broken in places. Paul, how was the hike out A-Z?
