Did volunteer trail maintenance on full length of my adopted Mt. Tremont Trail. This included doing some brushing, and clearing debris from drainage. Also, downed trees that would significantly impede travel on the trail were removed.
Please be aware that numerous old blowdowns remain at various points along the trail corridor. However, I don't think you'll find them to be problematic. They have all been limbed, and all of them can either be stepped over, or ducked under with only a slight break of your stride (similar to what you might experience when hiking in one of the designated Wilderness areas of the WMNF).
So, that's the status of the Mt. Tremont Trail as of 22-May-2013. Hopefully, the trail will remain in good shape throughout the summer hiking season. But, new blowdowns, etc can happen at any time!
