Trail Conditions: Dry with some mud patches lower down, ice patches further up and half inch of snow for about 8/10 before the top.

Special Equipment required: None though stabilicers might have helped in a few areas.
Comments: Third hike for me this spring and a gorgeous day. Cool and a sharp breeze near the top but no bugs. Many, many blowdowns as we walked along the Sawyer River, a beautiful part of the trail. We were surprised by the snow layer on the upper part of the trail, very sheltered from the sun, some of which covered a thin layer of ice. One or two difficult areas as the ice was covering steep ledge. Had to lift/push Finn (the dog) up one. The top was clear and sunny with spectacular vftt! A great day out with Cymbidium and Karen B.

Good to be on the trails again! Grumpygran
