Mt. Wachusett - Echo Lake, High Meadow, Jack Frost & Mt. House trails, out & back
Date of Hike: March 11, 2014
Trail Conditions: almost completely snow covered, a few rocks poking out, a bit of ice in a couple of spots of ice in the steeper sections of High Meadow. A broken evergreen on the Jack Frost. Trail is well packed & goes around the broken tree.
Special Equipment Required: Used Micro-spikes for the entire trip, could have used MSR's also but a couple of steep icy areas would have been interesting in snowshoes.
Comments: Optional - Saw just two people today & saw a car belonging to a third person at the trailhead when I came back. While the sky above Wachusett was clear, could not see Boston or Monadnock today. A bit of a breeze up high.
