Fresh snow made for a nicer walk up the Tucks trail. Ravine was crowded & windy, lots of spindrift.
Central is thin, a rope would be superfluous because there's really no place for a useful belay anchor. Expect thin ice with running water under some of it. Snow drifted up to my hips at a few spots, I was concerned about a slab breaking off but I emerged unscathed. Above the "crux" the snow is generally frozen solid with a few aforementioned piles of high snow.
Special equipment: ice axe, crampons, and knowledge of their use.
I also posted a report on Tuck's right gully.
