Hi,
I've been reading about the crevasses that are currently on Mt Washington and I was wondering if anyone had pictures of them? I was there only 2-3 weeks ago and I find it hard to believe big crevasses would developped, however, what do I know :)

Thanks!

Thanks Jim,
I've been monitoring to ranger page for a couple of weeks now, however I didn't see the link for the pictures. A couple of the pictures show fracture lines, but they leave a lot to the imagination as far as I'm concerned.

Still, it's better than nothing!

Not Without Peril account of a death in the waterfall crevasse

Nicholas Howe reports in his book Not Without Peril: 150 Years of Misadventure on the Presidential Range of New Hampshire about Cheryl Weingarten's death after sliding into the waterfall crevasse on May 1, 1994. To recover her body the rescuers rigged up using 300 feet of rope and descended into the crevasse wearing immersion suits. They found her 60 feet down. She wasn't the first person to die that way and probably is not the last.
