Date of Hike: Nov. 27, 2012
Trail Conditions: Minor mostly firm/frozen mud down low in very limited quantities, some patches of ice, roughly a half-inch dusting at the base, 2-3 inches of snow at the summit, and no blowdowns invading the trail. There were a couple, but they were cleared recently by the looks of it (thanks). The spring is still running.
Special Equipment Used: Microspikes were not needed, though we did have them just in case. Trekking poles weren't really needed either. Gaiters weren't really needed, but we wore them instead of carrying them since we had some snow.
Comments: Hiked this one a good friend, Karen, and it was a simple, straight-forward hike with nothing out of the ordinary to comment on. Long day: late start because we saw Neil Young last night at the Garden, then we attended a presentation at the Solo school in the evening. Took the Kanc back to 93 and saw a couple of moose crossing. Nice day!
